The fan motor is not operating at the correct speed or has failed. Often caused by fan motor failure, but can also be triggered by severe scale buildup that makes the unit work harder.

How to Fix Rinnai Code 61

Fan motor replacement is typically required. Address any scale buildup at the same time to prevent the replacement fan from failing prematurely.
